I'm happy to sell my current smart plugs, bulbs and camera and get something which will talk to an in-house system. I have a few spare laptops which can be repurposed to drive the solution. I have Alexa in most rooms but am happy to put another solution alongside it. It all works ok but I recently switched from BT to Virgin for internet and, of course, everything is cloud and everything stopped working.Īre there any guides anywhere which will take someone through setting up an in-house home automation setup which does not use cloud based services?
